Alumni

AHS is unique in that the majority of its alumni find their way to the job market with a very high job placement. Since its inauguration, the AHS admitted about 22,000 students into its nursing, midwifery and allied health programs. As of today, more than 4812 students have been graduated from the AHS with academic degrees ranging from the associate degrees to the bachelor degrees. AHS graduates usually secure jobs in hospitals and clinics- both public and private, academic institutions, the pharmaceutical and biomedical companies. Hitting the highest enrollment rate in the country, the AHS currently enrolls about 16.138 students into its different programs. The AHS alumni spread all over the country; a total of 2153 (44.7%) alumni graduated from the different centers in Khartoum, compared to 2659 (55.3%) graduated from centers in different states.

To face the challenges of providing high caliber health-care cadre to address the needs in Sudan and beyond, as dictated by its mission, the AHS also accept students from neighboring countries like Somalia, Ethiopia and Eritrea.

The table below presents the total number and distribution of the alumni.
